We make a fertilizer called VerdaGro that is designed for use in the SprinkleRite® system.
No. This isn't recommended. You should not use herbicide or pesticide in the SprinkleRite® System.
The system is designed only for above-ground pumps. To make it function with a below-ground submersible pump, you'll need to purchase one of the Injector Pump Conversion Kits available on this website in the SprinkleRite® Replacement Parts section. Use the 115 volt injector pump for 1/5 horsepower pumps, and the 230 volt for any pump with a higher horsepower.
This depends upon your well pump GPH flow rate/HP and the iron content in your well water. If you don't know the PPM iron content in your well water, a water sample kit can be purchased from on the website.
Most well water contains naturally-occurring iron compounds. Lawn sprinklers deposit those compounds on walls, walks, shrubs, lawn furniture, fences and other surfaces, resulting in ugly rust stains. NoRust neutralizes the iron in well water, preventing rust stains before they start.
It's ok to leave NoRust in the tank. Make sure to have the cover on tight to keep dirt out and close the metering valve.
Yes. NoRust is safe for plants and grass when used as directed.
Yes. VerdaGro and NoRust were developed to work together.
With the great number of different automotive finishes on the market, it's impossible to predict what affect NoRust will have on any specific vehicle. Vehicles should be kept out of the areas the sprinkler water hits.
Over time, especially with lower temperatures, aspects of the solution can crystallize. Stir the product up before or after adding to the SprinkleRite® tank and the formula will work fine.
Start with 2-4 gallons and adjust from there. If you're still getting rust stains after a month or so, start adding 5-6 gallons, etc.
Rust is the common term for corroded steel or iron. Rust occurs when metal comes into long-term contact with oxygen and water. The oxygen and water combine with iron to create a reddish coating (hydrated ferric oxide) on the surface of the metal.
The iron content in well water can change relatively easily. Try adding another gallon or two of NoRust. If this doesn't work, have your well water tested again to find the correct iron content.
Bleach can remove tannin stains.
Goof Off Rust Stain Remover is a biodegradable chemical formulation that removes rust stains on contact.
Yes. Goof Off Rust Stain Remover is safe for plants and grass when used as directed.
It's not recommended. Since most red brick is colored with iron oxide, and Goof Off Rust Stain Remover is designed to dissolve iron oxide, the product is most likely going to turn the brick white.
No, it's designed only to remove rust stains.
It could. If you're not sure if your sidewalk/driveway/siding has a sealer on it, try the Goof Off Rust Stain Remover in a small, inconspicuous test area to check for compatibility.
Spray the Goof Off Rust Stain Remover on full strength and don't rinse it off until the rust stains disappear. If the Goof Off Rust Stain Remover starts to dry up, reapply it to keep it damp until the stains dissolve away.
VerdaGro is a liquid fertilizer NPK 18-3-3 formula that mixes with sprinkler water. The water carries VerdaGro from the SprinkleRite® tank deep into the root zone. Gradual regular feeding stimulates root growth and improves plant health. The result is a thicker, greener lawn with less effort and no hassles.
The amount of VerdaGro to be used in the tank depends on the size of the lawn. It takes 1 gallon of VerdaGro to fertilize 2,000 square feet of lawn. For example, a typical 4,000 square foot lawn would require 2 gallons of VerdaGro and 34 gallons of water in the SprinkleRite® tank.
VerdaGro is biodegradable and safe for children and pets when used as directed.
Yes. VerdaGro and NoRust were developed to work together.
No. We do not recommend the use of herbicides or pesticides in the SprinkleRite Tank System.
This is typically due to a loss of pressure because of air buildup in a pressure or bladder tank. We have a heavy duty check valve available in the SprinkleRite® Replacement Parts section of this website. Purchase this and attach it to the black check valve of your SprinkleRite assembly to prevent the flow-back.
